Expediter

Job Title: Expediter
Reports To: Tool Supervisor

Position Summary:

Assist the tool shop with engineering tasks and assist with daily managerial tasks to expedite requests from production and outside customers.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Detailing mold components
  • Generate CAD Models for various fixtures, End of Arm tooling and other assemblies used in the manufacturing process
  • Utilize CAD Software to help understand the root cause of problems with various molds
  • Utilize various pieces of inspection equipment to check steel dimensions and determine what needs to be done to make the plastic part meet the print specifications.
  • Generate clear job write ups to relay information to shop floor for corrections and engineering changes
  • Utilize IQMS for ordering, shipping, and managing various workflows
  • Writing up purchase orders and corresponding with vendors to keep track of when components are due from said vendors
  • Maintain shop organization with spare components and various inventory items
  • Use typical Microsoft Office programs for E-mail communication, spreadsheets, PowerPoints, and various reports
  • Other duties as directed by supervisor

 Education/Experience:

  • SolidWorks 2022
  • Apprenticeship or vocational training
  • Working knowledge of safety protocols

Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
